Hey teachers on Pinterest, do you feel a little lost when you start pinning to promote your TPT products? The best place to start is with a show-stopping (scroll-stopping) image. Pinterest is a very visual platform, and TPT sellers will need their images to be eye-catching, first and foremost. Mockups are a great way for teacher sellers to get those eyes on their products. Keep reading if you want to know more.
But Is Pinterest Not Working for TPT Sellers Anymore – Should I Even Bother?
I know what many TPT sellers ask themselves about Pinterest …is it going to be a waste of my time? Yes, many TPT sellers are feeling frustrated with Pinterest. However, there are many teacher sellers experiencing long-term success with their Pin strategy.
According to Jenna Kutcher, a well-known marketing expert, “Pinterest is not a social media platform, it’s a search engine.” This means that users are actively looking for content that matches their interests and needs, making it a highly effective tool for driving traffic to your website or blog. By creating visually appealing pins and strategically pinning them to relevant boards, you can increase your visibility, reach a wider audience, and ultimately grow your online presence. In the article, Why Your Business Needs to be on Pinterest in 2023, Jenna Kutcher states, ‘We get over 3 million views each month on Pinterest and our strategy takes less than one hour each week — that’s it.’
I’m not telling you to rush out and get on Pinterest, but I am proposing this question – if some TPT sellers and Jenna Kutcher are still using Pinterest….maybe it’s worth considering. I’d also like to ask you this…
If teachers on Pinterest could have beautiful pins after a few easy adjustments to covers and thumbnails, wouldn’t it be worth a try?

Easy Images for Teachers Pay Teachers on Pinterest
To use mockups effectively, you’ll first need to choose a mockup that best represents your product. There are many mockup options available online, so take your time to find the one that works best for you. Let me just mention something here… a moveable mockup is customizable in every way imaginable, so the likelihood that it will represent your product and your brand is high. Once you have chosen your mockup, use it to create a visually appealing pin that will grab your audience’s attention. Use high-quality images and clear, concise text to highlight the benefits of your product. Finally, be sure to include a link to your website for more information about how to use the product in the pin description so that users can easily find and purchase your product. By using mockups effectively, you can increase the visibility and sales of your TPT products on Pinterest.
Easy Videos on Pinterest with Moveable Mock-ups
Video pins are engaging and can help capture the attention of potential customers. According to Pinterest in the article, Mastering the Art of Inspirational Videos on Pinterest, ‘66% of Pinners say that videos add to their discovery experience more significantly than videos on other media platforms. Pinners are also 54% more likely to say that videos on Pinterest inspire them to take action.’
The ideal ‘high-quality’ video would be a product tutorial, a product review, or a demo of the product in action, of course, but don’t panic yet. I know you might be thinking, ‘Sarah, I don’t have time for all that right now!’ But what if I gave you a simple way to convert your moveable mockups into animated clips that show your product ‘in action’ without ever actually videoing the product? It is possible.
If you want to see the full process, go sign up for the Moveable Mockups Made Easy Mini Course.
